About Me

Geeky most often describes me. I love to laugh and love to try new things. I have a blended family with 6 children from 25 to 10 years old. I suffer the torments of the cockatiel and the cocker spaniel that share our lives. I also recently became the primary caregiver for my mother.

Why I came to WebMD

I came because I am a serious surfer of the Internet and have been for over a decade. I stayed because WebMD offers reliable medical information and community support.

Where I can be found on WebMD

I am the moderator for a good number of gutsy boards at WebMD. I tend a bunch of diet boards, diabetes boards, Crohn's and Colitis, Politics, Women's Health, caregiving, and others!

What I Like

Books: Just about all of them. Seriously I will read anything.
Movies/TV: Survivor, TLC shows, watching CNN with my 15 yo son
Music: I am rotten at remembering titles, songs, bands and artists, but love rock and roll and alternative folk music.
Hobbies: Knitting, Reading, Frugal Living, Cooking
Other: Spending time with my family and especially my children

What Inspires Me

People taking responsibility for their own health. I also love to read about scale and non-scale victories. I am inspired by each member who reaches out for help and those reaching out to help others with their experiences.
