Vision After Cataract Surgery

I'm a 32 yr. old female who was diagnosed with a cataract in each eye approx. 2 yrs. ago. I experienced very slight vision disturbances (night-time driving glare) leading me to seek a professional opinion at that time.

Wednesday, 4/30/08 I underwent cataract surgery on my right eye. My vision is very poor now. I have very blurry distance vision. Is it too soon to be concerned? I have already contacted my surgeon and will be seeing him next week about this problem.

I did not have major vision problems prior to Wednesday. I didn't even wear corrective lenses. I'm a bit depressed. I have a 2 yr. old to enjoy but now I am worried I won't be able to see her clearly again.

Thanks for any advice you may offer.

It's way too early to get worried. Give it 3 months before deciding if anything else needs to be done.

Here's a link to a recent WebMD blog I posted about postoperative recovery:

WebMD hopes that you found useful information here. We wish you a prompt and lasting recovery.
